^^ I made cosmic-brownie-inspired cupcakes! Chocolate cake, chocolate buttercream, chocolate ganache, & rainbow chocolate chips. Some of my favorite cupcake creations to date. ^^

^^ These are some photos I snapped yesterday on a walk. I LOVE spring! ^^

My favorites from the food blogging community –

Meet the Dogist

One of my favorite bands ever, The Lumineers, just came out with their new album, Cleopatra. Oh. My. Holy. Goodness. Literally the entire thing is absolute magic. Obsessed.

On the subject of music –> we went to a Mat Kearney concert last night and it was nothing short of ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. He is one of Brig’s favorite artists ever and was just over the moon excited the whole time, which made me happy. We were lucky enough to be in the very front (which totally rocked) and as a result, we definitely left with ringing ears (like I seriously felt like I had cotton balls stuffed in my ears, haha). What’s the best concert you’ve been to? One of my favorite concerts ever was when I got to see Regina Spektor a few years ago with my best friend – INCREDIBLE.

We move in ONE WEEK! And, somewhat hilariously, the week before we move is when our no-good-very-bad-horrible oven is getting replaced. You guys, I kid you not when I say that sometimes our oven is 100 DEGREES OFF. 100 freaking degrees. It’s absolutely ridiculous. How I manage to be a food blogger, I’m not so sure. But hey, we get to use a brand new oven for one week! Haha.

Anyone want to go on a culinary retreat to Julia Child’s house?!

First things first, Regina Spektor is my FAV! I’d do basically anything to see her live— totally jealous! I would just love to do a food blogger retreat in general!! We should totally organize one 🙂

She is even better LIVE than on recording, which is so insane. She’s just amazing. Okay, that would be SO much fun, Liz!!! We have to make it happen!!

Thanks, Heather! They’re actually not brownies, they’re still cupcakes! Just inspired by the infamous cosmic brownie 🙂 Here’s the cake & buttercream recipe I used {http://www.thefoodwright.com/classic-chocolate-cupcakes-with-chocolate-buttercream/} and then I just carefully dipped the frosted cupcakes in chocolate ganache and topped with sprinkles.
